Dipsy Diver Depth Chart For Braid – Three years ago i ran a check on the chart that comes with the dipsy against my fishhawk. Size #1 dipsy 300' out will get you about 80' down on wire or braid. The dipsy dive charts are based on 20# mono i believe. 2 1/4 max diving depth:

I hope anyone can chip in and correct my errors or share their findings and perhaps i can make a better depth chart that shows mono, braid, and wire. Not sure where you can find a wire versus braid chart. If you move up to 40 or 50# braid. Dialed on 3 setting, a diver with no ring will.

I use 30lb suffix on mine with mono as a backer on my reels. Both with and without the rings for the size # 1 dipsy. It calculates depth by speed and distance out, whether your running.

If you want to get max depth, i think 30# braid and 30 pound, seven strand and 40# 19 strand wire all have similar depth curves. 4 1/8 max diving depth: A mag dipsy with no ring 300′ out will get you 110′ down.

3 1/4 max diving depth: However, the depth chart provided by the manufacturer only applies to monofilament main line, and so if you opt for braid, you’ll have to figure out how to. There are four different dipsy diver sizes to accommodate dif fer ent trolling situations.

To the point where sometime the best thing to do is let them out. I’m not 100% sure if you would gain much more depth. I was looking for a depth chart for magnum dipsy’s when i came across this.
